tooth Shade Detector
The Tooth Shade Detector utilizes spectrophotometer technology to determine color values by measuring the spectral reflectance ratios of samples.
In the field of dental shade matching, we employ comparative measurement methods. Natural teeth, crowns, shade guides, and other references are selected as benchmarks. By comparing the monochromatic radiation power reflected by the reference and the sample at the same wavelength, we can ascertain the spectral reflectance ratio of the sample, thereby determining its color value.

Shade Matching
To achieve an aesthetically pleasing result, ensuring the restoration harmonizes with the color of the remaining natural teeth in the mouth.
Traditional Shade Matching Precautions
Traditional visual shade matching should be conducted before tooth preparation, and the tooth surface should be dried to avoid an unnatural white appearance. Whenever possible, shade matching should be performed under natural light or using standard daylight lamps, rather than surgical lights.
Decisions should be made quickly, trusting the first choice, as the eyes can become fatigued with color perception after 5 to 7 seconds.
In the shade-matching environment, overly bright colors should be avoided. Similarly, patients should not wear lipstick, colored glasses, or brightly colored clothing (gray or off-white materials can be used for coverage).
